About our compostable toothpaste refills

How much plastic can I save?
In the UK, over 300 million toothpaste tubes are thrown away each year, often ending up in landfills or oceans. Life Supplies eliminates this waste with world-first zero-waste refills made from eucalyptus and sugarcane, which are 100% compostable.

Each refill pouch replaces a plastic tube, helping reduce the toothpaste tubes sent to UK landfills every year.

What are the refill pouches made from?
Our refill pouches are made using sugarcane!

Once the sugar is extracted, the pulp of the cane is made into a special paper that unlike traditional paper products is suitable for storing toothpastes.

This material would have been bio-waste before we used it to package your toothpaste so it's a really sustainable choice!

Our pouches are 100% compostable, making us the world's first zero-waste toothpaste.

How should I store the refills?
It's best to keep your pouches in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.

This will ensure your toothpaste is well maintained until you're ready to dispense into your bottle.

As it's compostable, we'd recommend storing your pouches away from wet or humid conditions – ideally tucked away in a cool, dry cupboard.

How should I dispose of the refills?
Your pouches are fully compostable. Once used, they can be composted at home or placed in your garden waste bin.
What if I can’t compost them?
If you don’t have a home compost, you can add it to your general waste, where the cellulose and sugarcase will biodegrade, without creating microplastics in the environment

How do I use the refill?
Open the pouch by tearing along the dotted line, then fill up your reusable bottle.

How long can I keep my pouches?
As long as the pouches are stored correctly, they can be kept for up to 12 months before use.

How big are the refills, how long will they last me?
Each 65ml pouch holds enough to fill your bottle once and should last 1 month

How much will it cost me to refill?
Refills are £6 per month, billed every 3 months.
You'll receive 60ml in each refill pouch, delivered in packs of three - working out at £6 per refill
